CASE STUDIES By organization size

What you are vulnerable to changes as you grow.

Foreshock meets an organization where it is. Pick a size to see the failure modes that matter at that stage, and how the same geometric engine addresses each one.

1 – 200 people

Small enough to feel everything, big enough that you can no longer read all of it. Foreshock gives you a tunable layer that never imports an LLM’s bias.

Sentiment

Tune without LLM bias

Rather than reacting to each comment or post one at a time, listen to all of it through Foreshock’s spectrum breakdown. Identify priorities, with links to sources and each one’s individual contribution to the analysis.

Trust & Safety

A layer for good-faith people

Optimize for your real population, the people operating in good faith and trying to build something. Multiple transparent layers make life hard for intentional bad actors, and every action comes with a receipt in case a mistake is made. Bias reports in the base model are taken seriously.

Health

A communication health layer

Track internal and external channels for frustration and content issues, define shunts for the problems unique to your space, and establish a baseline. Set goals to drive joy and satisfaction and to keep base-tier hedonism from running too hot.

Transparency

Settings visible to all

Make your settings inspectable by every member. That limits bad actors to merely improving the firewall’s quality, without ordinary users ever noticing the friction.

201 – 500 people

The awkward middle, where individuals become teams and the cracks are subtle. These are the things companies at this stage are especially vulnerable to.

Asymmetry

Information asymmetry

Sycophancy, fear, tension and hedging. The C-suite cannot look at Foreshock and fail to see these moving over time.

Viscosity

Viscosity dynamics

Growth often means slowing down. The action index tracks whether communication is about doing or hedging, and flags increases in conflict, anger and change anxiety as individuals learn to work as teams.

Autonomy

Autonomy dynamics

A rising reactive-relative index means more communication is happening in reaction to something that intruded on someone’s autonomy. It is an indirect, reliable read on overall team friction.

Fracture

Core-value fracture proximity

Spikes in contentious philosophical discussion can indicate smoke. Drop in a temporary shunt with project-specific keywords to see how much a given topic contributes on its own.

Disclosure

Disclosure detection

Shunts also work in reverse. Identify content that should not go out by automation or by an LLM, and hold it until a human reviews it.

501 – 2000 people

At this scale we usually recommend you own the hardware. Tell us your goals and we will likely set you up with a small server and a single 128GB GPU sized for your collection needs, or arrange long-term cloud leasing at a fixed, negotiated price.

On-prem economics

On-prem is priced almost identically to yearly, except for the initial hardware spend. We charge a one-time setup fee that covers the initial install. You get the same application support documented in the help center, all the benefits of other tiers, and the additions below.

Custom weights

Tuning with your own phrases

Add your own dimensions to each emotional sensor with phrases unique to your company and culture. Use a different model for different teams. We make these changes for you an agreed number of times per billing cycle.

Allegiance

“Allegiance” tracking

Spot “us versus them” patterns on the rise early enough to intervene, instead of reacting after something unhelpful happens. Partisanship indexes can be tuned to classify internal company politics too.

Reflection

Honest reflections

You cannot read every review, comment or blog post offered in good faith, and delegating that away is hard. Foreshock shows you what happiness looks like with you at the helm, and notifies you to drop in when things show cracks.

2000+ people

At this size, engineering load is the real constraint, so we start with a conversation.

Please contact us to discuss your needs. We will ask you to fill out a brief survey about your processes so we can make sure our engineering load can support you, then see what we can do to help. Nothing about your size rules you out; it just means we plan together first.

Platforms

For community platforms that want to offer Foreshock to their own communities, in much the same way Foreshock offers it to the public. Your users get the spectrum, the shunts and the receipts; you get the branding and the relationship.

White-label

Custom UI branding

Custom UI branding can be arranged under a premises license, on leased or owned hardware. Present Foreshock as a native part of your platform rather than a bolt-on.

Resell

Offer it to your communities

Platforms can offer Foreshock to the communities they host, mirroring the way Foreshock offers it to the public: free to start, transparent, and tunable per community.

Availability

Contact early

Availability is limited. Contact us for more information and to check availability, and please initiate contact as early as possible before your intended integration date.

Qualification

Survey for larger partners

A brief survey is required if your headcount exceeds 2,000 or your ARR exceeds $500MM, so we can confirm our engineering load can support the partnership.

Discuss a platform license

Online communities of all sizes

A forum, a Discord, a subreddit-scale space. Foreshock was built so a fledgling community can start safely and not become a victim of its own success.

Free to start

Built for new communities

The free tier covers a small population of 100 to 250, with light proactive health monitoring and basic Trust & Safety. There will always be a free tier.

Your heroes

Community-owned safety

Shunts let your community be its own semantic hero. They are collaborative and open to inspection by the people they serve, so safety serves everyone instead of aggravating anyone who does not fit an opaque model.

Receipts

No nebulous decisions

Every adverse action can carry a receipt: why it happened, what to do differently, where to appeal and where to report bias. That turns moderation disputes into improvements.

Grows with you
